Objective 1: To educate the church, especially new converts and young people about the heritage of the SDA church.
Project: Establish an Adventist Heritage Project:
Activities:
- Conduct an Adventist Heritage Weekend on 16,18-19 April 2009.
- Run four Adventist heritage workshops to focus on:
- History of the SDA church.
- Development of SDA doctrines.
- Key events and developments in the church.
- SDA role as the remnant.
- Work with Youth Dept to establish Master guide class.
Project: Compile the history of Langa SDA church:
Activities:
- Young people to write Langa SDA Church history.
- Conduct and record interviews with old people about Langa SDA Church history.
- Compile profiles of all former Langa SDA pastors and frame their pictures.
Objective 2: To encourage and train the church on reading the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy.
- Conduct a Spirit of Prophecy Weekend.
Project: Re-establish and formalize Langa SDA Bible and SOP Study Group.
Activities:
- Conduct eight workshops for training on effective Bible Study method.
- Determine quarterly Spirit of Prophecy reading material.
- Establish Young People’s Reading Club.
- Conduct Christian Book Review days once a month at vespers where people present overviews of what they had been reading.
